Kean is proud to be one of the first companies to purchase and use tunnel formwork in the high-rise construction industry of Mumbai.
Tunnel Form allows walls and slabs to be cast in
one operation on a daily cycle, creating efficient
load-bearing structures commonly known as
earthquake-resistant structures. Advantages like
the longest life of 250 reuses, steel panel with a
smooth concrete finish to eliminate finishing work
such as plastering, easy adjustment of telescopic
push-pull props, easy roller stripping, telescopic
extension tunnel legs for non-typical floors are
hardly visible in any other formwork. A team Of 12
workers is enough to run a set of tunnel forms
(approximately 1000m2). to cast a floor of 300m2
with a three-day cycle.
Nearly 75% of the High Rise Projects in Mumbai
is now carried out through Aluminium Formwork.
Major manufacturers such as MIVAN, Aluform, and
S-form have taken over the construction industry by
storm for Ground +33, 40, 53, 65, 81-storey projects
in the Mumbai skyline. The mixture of the wall, beam,
and deck components forms a quick and durable
formwork system. Wall panel, rocker, kicker, prop head,
beam panel, deck panel, soffit,and props are all fixed
through pin and wedge, allowing twice the speed of
construction when compared to traditional formwork.
This formwork is effective for a slab cycle of up to 8-10 days.
